I grew up in a place where mental health issues didn’t exist, an ass whooping and a nap cured anything, basketball was your only ticket to a good future and surviving amongst the white collared meant selling out. That’s not the world I live in today. Now more than ever I realize how much thinking for myself, being open minded and receptive to change and being vulnerable are a necessary part of my personal growth and sustained good health. I’ve struggled and I’ve blossomed, but I didn’t do it alone. This is my social circle.
